Time to lose the usb cables?
This is another of those ‘ah!’ moments, and what a perfectly natural idea. With near-field slow to catch on, this may be another of those ideas that lags and then explodes in three years time. From the ericsson website;
“Ericsson’s Connected Me uses a technique called “capacitive coupling” in which the natural electrical properties of the human body are used to transmit signals with digital information. In practice this means, for example, that a smartphone can pass data through the human body to devices such as electronic lock, printers, speakers and screens”.
